The APRICO personalization engine is offered to the broadcast industry as a source code based Software Development Kit (SDK). It includes the right to use our patents and technical documentation, and is combined with the required consultancy, workshops, training and helpdesk support by APRICO Solutions.
What does APRICO bring to the consumer?
Viewers can watch shows whenever they choose to, regardless of when the shows are scheduled. Simply switch on the TV when you like; no more making appointments with your television set at specific times when shows are broadcasted. APRICO offers the possibility to enjoy personal APRICO channels with content of their personal taste. The APRICO channels contain highly targeted video content of all types, ranging from entertainment to commercial offerings.
APRICO delivers personalization in the broadest sense. It is much more than simply recognizing the individual's interest. What we have experienced in our field trials and what is addressed by our technology, is that peoples' interests differ at different times and according to varying circumstances. 'I have different interests when I'm in my "film" mood than when I am in my "winter sports" mood. Furthermore I'm interested in different things when I watch TV with my family than when I watch by myself'.
